March ends in a series of explosive aspects like “CRASH” and “POW” of comic book fame as the forces of Dark and Light battle for supremacy within our universe in the form of the cornoavirus.
Mars/Saturn
As March gives way to April, Mars and Saturn come together at zero degrees Aquarius, so we will be reevaluating and revolutionizing the structures of our lives. Some important issue may be brought to an abrupt conclusion as Mars accelerates recklessly while Saturn jams on the brakes from fear that stalks our paths. Tensions rise in an atmosphere of argumentative non-cooperation. Chaos and confusion reign. It’s not the easiest of times!
However, Mars and Saturn are eager to explore the higher realms of freedom-loving Aquarius after so much heavy Capricorn earth energy. As ancient ruler of both signs – ambitious Capricorn and far-sighted Aquarius – Saturn is strong while fiery Mars burns fiercer in an air sign than when smothered by earth. Plans and actions can now be directed along more humanitarian lines. Proceed with focus but be ready for sudden changes in direction as the days ahead look highly uncertain. However, now IS a good time for a cleansing spring diet or new exercise routine.
Mercury/Neptune
Mental Mercury hugs idealistic Neptune in spacey Pisces during the first week of April, raising imaginative ideas and fantastical storylines as “fake news” sweeps science aside. Beware the sales pitch of dishonest or deceitful communications! Old painful memories from the past may surface for healing and release as wounded Chiron continues to square the Moon’s Nodes. The serious health epidemic presents numerous challenges, but with Neptune in Pisces, meandering mismanagement is an even more aggravating problem!
Jupiter/Pluto
By far the most significant aspect this month is the conjunction of expansive Jupiter with transformative Pluto, exact on April 5th at 24 degrees Capricorn. Together they exert a powerful punch of extremely high energy, peaking this month before gradually fading away. It’s a potent energy boost, a power surge which can feel energizing and exhilarating. Is this aspect of Jupiter conjunct Pluto strong enough to stop the coronavirus? Or will Jupiter amplify the pandemic into a Plutonic fury? Hold out for a positive Jupiter effect! If you maintain good judgment, exercise self-control and do NOT overdo it, then April’s high adrenaline could include some exciting times too!
Super Full Moon
On April 7th the Full Moon in Libra opposes Sun in Aries and T-squares the Jupiter/Pluto conjunction, while Mars/Saturn together square Uranus, instigating accidents and accident-prone behaviors, so slow down and drive safely. There is the potential for an explosive event around this time, possibly the coronavirus peak! Disruptions will likely test your new path. This Super Full Moon (closest to the Earth), will appear bigger and brighter than usual, and tides may run especially high with possible flooding.
Mercury into Aries
On April 11th mental Mercury enters Aries, giving some relief after 2 long months in emotionally distraught Pisces. Our thinking springs forward with new ideas mid-month. By the 18th Mercury will be positioned midway between Mars and Venus in chatty air signs to help mediate gender issues and improve our inter-personal communications which may become more thoughtful.
New Moon in Taurus
On April 20th the Sun enters hard-working Taurus while conjuncting Uranus for a few days. The resulting instability could activate an important shift around the New Moon of April 22nd, further destabilizing markets, or possibly triggering earth changes as Chiron, the wounded healer, wraps up its 4-month square to the Nodes of Destiny. This might help begin the winding down of the COVID-19 pandemic, begun immediately after the consequential Saturn/Pluto conjunction in January.
Pluto Retrograde
Since mid-March all planets have been direct (forward movement), accelerating the pandemic. But on April 25th Pluto stations retrograde in stolid Capricorn, which may slow its spread. (NOTE: Meditation can be especially profound as Pluto stations.) With Pluto squaring Mercury on the 25th, obsessive/compulsive tendencies may arise for a while. But it’s also an excellent time for studying the occult or exploring one’s shadow for any dark secrets that may have surfaced. Disease and a collapsing economy have us so stressed, trying to coerce others to your way of thinking is probably pointless and may raise repressed anger.
Venus
Relationships should be generally good due to a sustained Mars/Venus trine early in the month. However, Venus is at extreme declination (erratic, irritable and touchy) all this month and the next, so treat each other with sensitivity (including yourself)! A Venus/Neptune square begins April 21st into early May, reducing romance and increasing unrealistic expectations and illusions leading to disappointment. Ending the crisis may take longer than we think, especially if we ignore precautions. The theme here is “freedom versus control” as Mercury/Sun embraces disruptive Uranus while squaring stern Saturn late in the month. Meanwhile, our creativity is enhanced so get “artsy” during times of isolation!
ALL relationships may be under pressure and will get tested this month, yet Sun, Mercury and Uranus are in positive aspect to the Nodes, suggesting that the path ahead looks positive, as long as we keep our hearts open, remain flexible and make creative change our goal this year!
