June Review

Mars-conjunct-Neptune T-square the Moon’s Nodes last month had us protesting in the streets, feeling wide-spread empathy (Neptune) mingled with ANGER (Mars) that arose when a callous White police officer squeezed the life out of an unarmed non-violent Black man… once again… and on video! Even COVID did not deter the riots across Amerika and beyond as the fight for racial justice burned in the streets like in the 1960’s!
Mars/Chiron
Protests should ease off by early July as this hard T-square dissolves. This would be hopeful (Jupiter-sextile-Neptune) were it not for a militant Mars moving into conjunction with Chiron, the wounded Healer. While consciousness is budding, prepare for more pain and suffering as well. The virus (Chiron) could spread aggressively (Mars) once more, forcing Governors into making hasty decisions (Mars-square-Mercury).
July 4th Eclipse

Get out your camera because Fourth of July fireworks will burst before a rising Full Moon and for some, an eclipse! Stick around outdoors until midnight on the East Coast, earlier inland, and around the ~8:30pm Moon Rise on the West Coast, to watch the Lunar Eclipse, as the Moon slips into the shadow cast by the Sun’s rays around the Earth. The Moon sometimes takes on a slightly reddish hue during lunar eclipses.
The third eclipse of this explosive eclipse season falls late on Independence Day in the USA, bringing a Sun-conjunct-Mercury message that aggravates Mars in hot-headed Aries, just itching for a fight. Mars-conjunct-Chiron can represent the perpetual seeker, so you can use Mars to boost their spiritual practice or physical exercise routine. Do you feel eager or angry, frustrated or restless? Try not to overreach or over-respond, for that’s where trouble lies. Instead, try using the eclipse magic to dream your future into existence!
We have surfed rough waters lately, so a somewhat subdued national holiday seems appropriate. Take it easy. Our world-weariness, amid so much conflict, anger and hate, disease, confusion, and partisanship, have left us discouraged one minute, hopeful the next, and exhausted from all the games being played. We’re just plain worn out!
Capricorn Stellium

The Moon will mingle with the potent Capricorn stellium of Jupiter, Pluto, and Saturn for a couple of days after the eclipse, stirring up extreme emotions and raising subconscious flotsam. Pay attention to whatever surfaces. Face it, forgive, HEAL, then release it. Unwind negative beliefs whenever they appear. With Mars square-retrograde-Mercury all month, expect stories, accusations, and scandals to arise from the political underground as well! Saturn, which moved back into Capricorn on July 2nd, will try to tame expansive Jupiter and intense Pluto during the rest of 2020. There is serious work to do this year… on ourselves, our relationships, our social order, our institutions, our governments, our environment, and our consciousness. Saturn is committed to the task!
As the Lesser Light (Moon) moves away from this region of planetary potency, the Greater Light (Sun) moves in, opposing those stellium planets for three weeks. Cracks will begin to appear in governments, banks and corporations (ruled by Capricorn) under the scrutiny of discontent (Pluto) among “the people” (Sun in Cancer). Many companies will unravel over the next 6 months, forewarned by the weighty Saturn-Pluto conjunction last January. Giant entities who have run roughshod over the people, while destroying the environment out of greed, deserve the backlash that karmic Saturn’s retrograde back into Capricorn is likely to bring.
We tend to blurt out what we don’t mean to say with Mars-square-Mercury all month, so watch your tongue. This is further intensified by Jupiter’s over-the-top conjunction with Pluto on July 27th (the second pass). The first conjunction of Jupiter and Pluto occurred in Early April as New York City’s cases were peaking. Late July looks like another case of out-of-control viral spread. And in mid-November when the final Jupiter/Pluto pass occurs, we can expect one more, hopefully final, spike before the pandemic is tamed by vaccines. If this projection is accurate, our elections on November 3rd will be severely handicapped.
Retrogrades

June 2020 had the most retrograde planets of the year with 6. July continues with 5. Typically, we slow down during times of multiple retrogrades, unless our principles are tweaked, which happened with George Floyd’s murder.
Mercury retrograde, which began last month, will continue through July 12th, remaining in shadow along with Venus until the end of the month. This is an ideal time for working on our own shadow issues as well, through introspection, meditation, review, writing, journaling and online classes. Shadow periods are like somewhat unbalanced recovery times after an ordeal. As Mercury turns direct on the 12th, Chiron turns retrograde, so 5 retrogrades will be in place all month: Pluto, Neptune, Saturn, Jupiter and Mercury switching off with Chiron. I suggest you REST for the second half of this month. Eat healthy, exercise, relax, and remember to love yourself through these unprecedented times.
Positives

There are several positive aspects this month. Jupiter trines Neptune all month, raising our hopes and aspirations. Venus sextiles both Chiron and Mars mid-month, so healing our relationships are on the agenda. Then during the last days of July, the Moon forms a Grand Trine with Neptune and Chiron, allowing our imaginations to soar. Remember, it is our hearts which will save us, not our heads. Use humor to relieve pressure, moderation to achieve balance, and invite Spirit to support and inspire you. We certainly are living in “interesting times”!
